WHY A PORTRAIT BY MICHAEL BELL?
A portrait painted by Michael Bell will immortalize you, or your loved one. Photographs can start to fade in a number of years. A portrait is a wonderful way of acknowledging someone, to remember them forever as a work of fine art. Art can communicate beyond words, reveal the true soul of an individual and can also share their story visually with the world.
Michael Bell has painted, by commission, some of the most famous people of our time, including the late John Gotti, actors from The Sopranos, CSI: Miami, Law & Order, Goodfellas, A Bronx Tale and more! Bell was initially labeled a Gangster Artist due to some of his high profile drawings and paintings for his alleged real-life Gangsters and clientele that play Mobsters on TV and in Movies. As Bell began to branch out and really explode onto the scene (in terms of a broader audience) some of Bell's "Sopranos" pals started introducing him around New York as: “Celebrity Artist” Michael Bell...and the moniker stuck with him ever since.
Backed by an impressive list of solid credentials and celebrity clientele, Bell has become quite well known as a "Celebrity Artist to the Stars" and has steadily become just as famous and as intriguing as many of the celebrities he has portrayed.. He's also steadily becoming one of America's most important figurative painters and one of the world’s most famous living artists working today.
WHAT'S INVOLVED & HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?
Michael Bell's pricing standards are determined by size, medium and sales to protect you, the collector. Currently Bell's pricing standards are $10 per square inch for oil paintings on canvas. A smaller 30" X 40" painting on canvas, as seen in Bell's "Cinema of Truth" paintings or NEW "For the Love of Chocolate" paintings retail for $12,000.00 US per painting (US). Bell’s more popular square format mixed-media oil paintings on canvas (60" X 60") as seen in Bell's "Ticket to Ride" Painting Series retail for $50,000.00 per painting (US), same as the $50,000.00 US for the most popular format of all: the widescreen, cinematic 48” X 96” oil paintings on canvas. All wall murals done in your home or business, indoors or out are also priced according to size. A standard 8' X 16' wall on average costs approximately $7,000.00 US (pricing may vary).
